Don't really know what that means, but it was better than the Marx quote I was going to use. Don't want the black helicopters circling my house.

Sorry everybody for getting off topic. I saw a flash and then a quote about capitalism and I thought I was in the politics forum.

Keynesian Economics... The same guy that indicated how 'inflation' can steal the wealth of a nation and not one man in a million will know what were up to... A sucker born every minute...

I've had this discussion on other forums, but here's the crux of the issue:

You run a lab testing facility for composts and compost teas and education. You spend a decade testing other people's brewers. I know our company has spent over 100K with SFI over the years.

Now you go into business selling the very products you were testing, and using the information you've gathered at the expense of other companies? In addition, you're using your own lab to gather numbers which are higher than all the lab tests you've put out for other brewers/companies?

Dr. Ingham also gets appointed to Rodale. Like Tim mentioned, in order to eliminate any bias or personal interest, most of the time you're required to give up your commercial interests.

If you don't see a problem with any of this, that's fine. Personally, I'm not too happy about it. It really makes me question a lot of the "science" that she put out there, knowing she has personal gain in the process. I'm not saying she's wrong, but rather that I'm less likely to accept information at face value from SFI, and I'm certainly not going to be spending any more money getting lab tests. It would be like Nike spending money to have Reebok evaluate their shoes and decide if they were quality or not, and then Reebok using any info. they gain from their evaluation to make their own shoes better. What the advantage for Nike in this scenario? They're competitors in the same marketplace, which is something that I feel is ethically wrong for a lab, even if it is "free enterprise."
I see wat you mean... It's a combination of espionage and false advertising...

I should advertise to analyse people's lawns and put out my Newsletter comparing results on my lawns to those of TGCL and every other competitor...
