Well...I'm buying a Big Block
I've been looking for a truck forever...I drove a 2001 Chevy 2500 HD tonight, 8.1 liter, 120,000 miles...clean! I told him I'd take it..BRING ON THAT $4.00 PETRO!!! Speedometer goes left to right in a hurry, gas gauge goes the opposite way just as fast!

Nice! I wish my 05 had the 8.1l, but you won't be disappointed! The 8.1l is a great motor IMO have some problems with oil consumption, but its also a big block other than a couple other things here and their its great!

Mine was good, it will use oil and probably start leaving at the manifolds. Im much happier with my 6.0 though, but that was cause the gas milage was 8 mpg. Does it have the Allison behind it?

7 G's, It does have the Allison, and an extra set of fancy wheels, It's hard to find a clean older truck that's not worn completely out! I'll probably put a flat bed/bale bed on it and a plow later this summer, the only time I'll use it is for work, I still have my 1/2 ton for daily running.
