How do you guys handle a take me off your list or we are going to do it ourselves. Do you try to get them to stay by offering, say a free lime or discounted price. I cant giv ethis one guy anything as I do 25 houses in the hood, I wouldnt want the problems that will start. Then I had another guy cancel, didnt follow any instructions I gave him, didnt want grub control, wouldnt water, no aeration or overseeding and add in the worst drought in 20 years, what did he expect.

I ask them why they are cancelling...moving, not happy, too expensive, etc.

I then make it known that should they need my services in the future, I'd be more then happy to have them back...if they weren't a PITA.

I don't give anything away. That is a big mistake IMO to do so. And you're right not to give something away with that many accounts next to one another.

Do the best you can. If they don't follow your advice or directions, not much you can do about that except cancel them yourself should you chose to do so. People will cancel for whatever reason. Just make sure it wasn't because of lousy service.
