shrimp compost for top dressing?

Just curious if anyone else use shrimp compost as a top dressing?

Around here it is the most expansive compost you can buy, and many people say it's the only one that is as close to 100% weed free, compared to ordinary black earth, triple mix or cow/sheep manure.

Any thoughts?

Our company does very little top dressing, but from my experience, any manure that has been allowed to age a season or two is relatively weed-free. I know around SW Ohio a lot of horse stables will let you take all the seasoned horse manure you want for free, as long as you provide the bobcat to load it.

I'm far from an expert on the subject of poop, though.
