Trailer ramp angle for mower clearance.
Does anyone know the maximum angle of a trailer ramp that a mower deck can clear??
I have a box truck with a 41" high deck. Toro states that the angle from ground to ramp not to exceed 15 degrees. That would put the length of the gate + beaver tail at 13 feet, which seems too long. (Right angle calculations complementary of http://www.csgnetwork.com/righttricalc.html) Before I start rigging up trailers to jacks and making measurements with the mower on the ramp, does anyone else have experience with this??

To answer my question:
After plenty of experimentation, 15 degrees is the maximum angle of a trailer ramp for a Toro to clear. At 16 degrees the blade bolts will catch, not going forward, but backing off the trailer. While backing off, the casters spin around, creating a slightly longer wheel base.
