Iron and Zsprayers

Does anyone used liquid iron in their Zsprayers? I was told it would damage my pump.

Iron, no problem. Turf dye at low volume = a crapload of obstructed nozzles.

Hey txgrassguy,

I was wondering if you could run a tracker dye through a ride on. So how do you get experienced enough when you first start running run so that you don't miss spots or overlap too much? I am hoping to be able to start running one next year.

Anyone else who may have input let me know, it's not directly toward txgrassguy.

Thanks

The tracker dye flows alright at low volume - as far as being "experienced" enough just watch your tire tracks, know how wide the spray width is and you are alright.
The only reason I occasionally use the dye is for a few up-scale clients. Apparently when they are relaxing with a cocktail or four they like to look out and see that nice blue "sheen" on their turf.
I really couldn't care if they wanted me to paint an elephant's ass as long as their checks don't bounce.
