Catch basins

I was half asleep last night when I posted. I meant that I was going to install 6 inch pipe connected to 12 inch plastic catch basins for yard drainage and a 6inch pipe itself to catch the water comming off the hill and divert it around the house.

They have an 8inch drain pipe, how would I go about connecting those into 6/12inch catch basins or is it not possible?
