Scag Turf Tiger Hydraulic Problem Diagnosis
Can someone help with a preliminary diagnosis for my 2005 61A Turf Tiger with the 29DFI Kawasaki. It recently started vibrating alot and after mowing with it for 8 hours yesterday I had a small job this morning and then planned to take it to a dealer for a checkup. It was doing fine then I heard a noise and now the left side (hydraulics?) has the tire locked up and it will go only in circles. We have had issues in the past with the parking brake and so I don't know if that could have any thing to do with this or if it is purely hydraulic. We managed to get it into the trailer (no easy task) and it will be taken to a dealer but I thought someone may be able to give me a heads up so I might not be blind sided by the repair estimate. Thanks so much.

If you don't know anything about the system. Close to a thousand dollars in repairs. Maybe more if the other side need to be rebuild.

If the vibrating was noticable in the levers, It was probably the pump coming apart.
It could have trashed the wheel motor locking it up. Its not going to be cheap....pump, wheel motor, hydro flush, hydro service. |
