cleaning gunk off of trimmer power head

how do u guys clean the gunk off of the power head.

mine is gummed up preaty bad.

That might work, an old toothbrush to get in the spots,
then you'll want to set it out in the sunlight to air dry.

it took a thread to discuss how to clean a trimmer head? This site never ceases to amaze me....

A freaking pressure washer will do the trick, no secrets, no magic. I bet you won't even need purple power, but you could always try simple green, or hell why not a bar of dial soap.

I spray my heads lightly with Fluid Film.....same principle as spraying your deck. Most crap doesn't stick the rest comes right off.

I have used about everything even my psi washer. The best stuff I have found to take grass stains off wheels, decks and my trimmers is Mean Green Orange Fresh. Every body that sees my mowers wants to know what I use. Works so good and its hard to find, when I do find it I buy about all they have. Find some and give it a try.
