i'm pretty sure that your average joe is going to call a rental store, not a landscaper. You'd have to advertise big time

I dont wanna sound like im raining on your parade but that doesnt seem like a great idea! Im all about finding different avenues to gain more business. I can see seal coating if your a plow guy. party jumpers seems like desperation. No offense! If you make good money doing it, Good for you

Considering some of the recent incidents where people have been hurt (maybe even killed-I don't recall) when the units have blown over, or been lifted and tossed around in a sudden gust or storm, I imagine there will be changes coming regarding their rental and set up. One change mentioned was having a licensed and trained person set up and anchor them, and remain on site during their operation. Just research it well as you would any potential business venture, particularly insurance costs.

The industry is flooded with them in our area . . . Everybody & his brother is in the Bounce Castle / Moon Walk business . . . .

If I was looking for something I would look at a real kick but piece of equipment to compliment my landscape business. ie . . . big aerator, continuous concrete border machine, custom stepping stones, etc . . .

Ever heard the phrase "Deal in what you know"?

Honestly, not to be rude, but this sounds like a terrible idea. If you want to be working weekends, do it by expanding your business.

There's a party balloon warehouse next door to my house. He does it as a sideline. When he started several years ago it was booming. This year and last year he hardly did any rentals;people are cutting back on non essential items a lot.I think he uses it as a loss to write off his main business; fire alarm installation and maintenance. He used to have a few trucks going out several times a week ;now it's usually only one truck all day saturday and sunday. A lot of these balloons require an attendant all day while the kids are bouncing in them, so your weekends are shot if you get into this.
