28efi oil leak advice (tried of waiting on Hustler sight)

Posted this question on the hustler sight & i'm tired of waiting on an anwser. I'm fixing to remove my 28efi off my super-z in order to (1) replace the starter & (2) fix a oil leak. It's getting worse by the week. Looks to be the case gasket...but i'm also getting oil around the head cover that vents the crank case. Question how hard is it to get the PTO off (i have no pulley puller to fit it) & since this motor has 1300+hrs on it should i do anything else to it. Before it developed this leak i seldom ever had to add oil to it. Only once in a while do i get a heavy puff of white smoke at start-up. Advice please
