sundays project and new tool
We had to run 550' of new wire to existing valves at a site today so I had my brother weld me up this tool for split trenching the grass. We had the the trench made, wire installed and tamped in 3 hours. the thing was a life saver.

I didn't want to risk hiting anything else in the ground with a machine.

I'll post photos some other time, but I worked on a system last week that at some point had the wiring replaced. It's at a church and has a Texas style system - 6" econo boxes all over. If the wire was laid on top of the soil, and had sod laid directly on top of the wire, that would be TWICE as deep as the new wire. Looks like someone used a utility knife to slice it in. Many places it is above ground.
Nice work gm. |
