I agree with alf500series except we also charge extra for prep work.

Is this a new construction? Existing lawn? What kind of prep work will be involved? Condition of current soil? Do you have to pick up and deliver the sod? What kind of equipment will you be using and will you be renting it? Hard to give a price without knowing those things.

We would be around 550$ labor and delivery included to just come in with the sod and lay it down with very little prep work involved.

I agree but that is only for the laying the sod. We charge extra for preparing the area.

All of my sod estimates include prep work.
The prep is arrived at time in labor hours at $50/hr/laborer, equipment like my shaping tractor and power box rake is $90/hr with a three hour minimum, soil + amendments needed then sod charged at retail rate including delivery and taxes plus an additional 30% to cover unforeseen issues.
A pallet and a half job like what you mentioned I wouldn't bid less than $920.50.
