John Deere MCS

Getting close to purchasing a new z950 and also want the collection system. Does anyone have any real feedback on it. I am used to the Exmark Ultra Vac and am interested in how they compare. Any feedback is appreciated.

I've got two 950's, had 777's before one of them had a collection system and thier is no comparison between my old and new one. It dont matter if the grass or leaves are damp is has no issues plugging up. The 950 has plenty of power to run it.

Looking at purchasing the 2 bag MCS with Z910a

Looking at purchasing the 2 bag MCS with Z910a. Would you mind posting your experiences with the John Deere branded MCS for ZTR's.

Thanks,

John

I have the exmark 3 bag and the John Deere MCS 3 bag. Both bag well but for wet or heavy growth the Deere performs better. With any bagging unit the more horse power the better. You should have more than enough with the 950.

I had used the Toro bagging system (same as exmark's) on a demo unit and I've had the pleasure of owning a JD with their MCS on it for 3 years now. The JD system far outperformed the Toro unit in heavy growth. I had a few minor complaints with the Toro unit but don't really have any complaints with the JD unit.

I had a loaner 950 with MCS last year while I was waiting for a belt to be shipped in for my 925...the 950 was a monster with leaves. The thing had plenty of power for heavy leaf cover and never bogged down.

I have a 950 with the dump from seat MCS. It does a wonderful job. No clogging on damp leaves or clippings and dumps very easily without leaving debris stuck inside. If I could just figure out a way for the dern thing to ride better. It's about to break my back.
