list to give to your customers

Ten indications your Landscape Maintenance guy might not be legit.
This list is in no way a complete list.
Feel free to add to it.

1: His wife or 6 year old kid shows up with him to translate.

2. He has to move the tile and carpet installation equipment to get to the mower.

3. He gets the mower he uses and the one he picked up next to someones trash can mixed up.

4.He says he'll come back after he takes all the scrap metal piled on his equipment to the scrap yard.
(literaly saw this today, small nissan piled with scrap mattress frames and a lawnmower tied across the top of the tail gate.)wish I had a picture.

5.He asks the homeowner if he can plug his equipment into one of their electrical plugs.

6. License plates on the truck are from another state.(or country)

7.Tells you the you can get ahold of him in front of the home improvment store and if he's not there he's over at the nursery with the other guys. .

8.Shows up ,and tells you he will get a mower ,blower and edger after he gets paid.

9.Insurance? no I'll just put a claim against your home owners policy.

10.License? I don't need no stinkin' license!

Neither I nor my clients even bother acknowledging or speaking with scrubs like you describe = a non-issue.

I dont understand the one about tags from out of state or county. I have a business license and insurance live in TN and cut a few yards in GA. I am only maybe 10 minutes from the state line. Does that make me not legit. Im cutting yards in Georgia with Tennessee plates what a hack.

Yes I realize it does work out when you live with in a short distance from another state, I was talkking about those who come to places like Las Vegas Nevada and set up their businesses with out changing thier plates because they don't want to pay their part here,it is law here to change your plates with in 30 days.
By the way do you have full licensing in Georgia? or do you ride on your TN license?
If you do then I wasn't talking about you.

I personaly don't understand why you need to call me a "hack"

I've had and used gas hedge trimmers and they are simply not worth it. Electric is the way to go.

So we are going to make fun of poor people who get out and try to make a little money rather than being on the gov welfare

I honestly don't see what's wrong with collecting metal along the way. Here we have bulk days for trash where you throw trash out like couches, old appliances and such like that so if i were cutting and needed extra cash, why not throw it in the truck? i know some poeple who make a couple hundred bucks sometimes doing it. I'm not saying do it all the time but to take a piece and there why not?
