15 aerations today. By the way use chain wax it seems to work alot better on the chains. Keep it greased and chains lubed, and you will be a happy camper.

15 aerations, today?

Jesus....I did 2. I can't imagine. I'm not saying 2 took me all day. I'm saying I can't FATHOM doing 15.

My last one for the season (that I know of) was this afternoon. Aerate/Lime/Fert./Over-seed. Lawn could not be 1500SF (But really cut-up...in 4 sections). It took 1:15.

15? Wow.

They are great machines. What is the word on the sale? When does it take place? I'm interested in getting my ride on serviced and looked over and wondering what toro dealers will carry/sale/service the machines.

They are only selling parts right now! I think for only a month or two. After that all parts will come directly from exmark. Hope this helps. I stocked up on spare part just in case i have a problem..

Hoping that some exmark dealers will start servicing them! My ride on was making a strange noise and it seemed to bog down when I was trying to aerate up hills or had my levers pushed forward over half way.

Sounds like a hydro problem and the machine is almost new! I can't figure it out. Any ideas?

I spoke with some eXmark dealers at a trade show and they have the prototype machines in 'red'. I saw them first hand. Production of them should begin soon and very soon after that, all parts will be available. There were some very minor tweaks here and there but otherwise it looks like the original designs. I would check with your dealers in a month.

I had 2 hydro belts break on mine before it hit 20 hours. Once we got that straight we were good to go. Thanks for the info Rabitt. I hope Toro comes out with a optional spreader and sprayer for them like Ls was gonna do.

Hey guys, I just spent the time to skim through all 6 pages of this thread. I am a Toro dealer and I will share what I know so far. The LS is in the 2012 Toro dealer price book. I have already priced a few ride on aerators for my customers. Toro frowns on making pricing public on the net, so for now I will refrain from doing so. The LS units are supposed to be made available by the end of February. I was told straight from Toro's product specialist for the line that Toro or LS depending on who is actually building them that there will be two production schedules for 2012. Meaning they intend to build the products twice. Once in the spring and once in the fall. She said this could change + or - depending on demand. Pricing seems to be in line with what is already on the market under LS. I did not discuss parts availability, but I have been selling Toro for over 20 years and I have been with them when they acquired several companies. The parts is always the first thing that gets put into place. Now keep in mind your local dealer may not stock parts for them yet, and I would not expect him to at first if he has never sold the line. However, Toro has a track record of better than a 98% fill rate on parts. Meaning over 98% of the time if a dealer orders it Toro has it and ships it within 48 hours to the dealer's door step. I don't think many of you will experience much of a hassle transitioning form one company to the other, with the exception of the dealer itself coming up to speed.
As far as the line up right now I see a stand on and a WB aerator, a seeder, 2 stump grinders, a brush cutter, and a log splitter in the book. I don't know how deep LS product line was, but that is what Toro will offer for now. Of course this could change as time goes on. I hope this helps from a dealer's point of view.
