I think that is spacing on the package but the spray goes 12'.
WM brass nozzles were listed by the max spacing allowed not the spray distance.

The item number on the box and the item number on the tag on the shelf match. But what do you want when you have both Lowes and Orbit involved? It's bound to get F@#$%! up somewhere along the line!
