If you just bought this RM remote on Ebay be wary

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...:X:RTQ:US:1123

The remote is being described as a universal remote and based on the picture it was not. The seller never answered my questions in this regard either. The universal remote adapter could run another 250+. Haven't priced them lately.

That's a good buy (if someone has taken care of it). The UA module is around $225.00 our net.

Have you seen the first sponsored result that comes up when you search on "Rainmaster ProMax" on eBay?

While on the topic of these remotes, I need a replacement transmitter, I was quoted ~ $800 for a new one. Does that seem correct. This was through my local distributor. Seems a bit ridiculous to me.

$800 for the transmitter? I'd feel like I was getting taken by that too.

Luckily I have 2 spares at the moment so I can afford to make sure I find the best price. If its 800 bucks Ill just buy a whole new kit!

At 800 definitely the whole kit. Did you lose the transmitter or was it beat up beyond repair?
