Help with a truck towing question!

I am about to purchase a 1993 F350 4x4 SRW Reg cab Long bed for snow removal and hauling. It has the 5.8 gas engine in it. I've been coming across many jobs that I need to rent equipment for, and I was wondering if this truck would be capable of pulling a small skid steer/stumpgrinder, etc. any and all input is appreciated.

The truck will pull just about anything you want. My dad used to work for a feed company, and they would put 5000 lbs in the bed and it had a 5.0. It wasnt the safest thing to do, but it got the job done.

Pulling it is the least of you worries, just remember you have to get whatever it is you towing stopped.

F-350 should be fine for towing a skid steer, and most any stump grinder. A bit of a gas hog, but it's kinda expected. I've always liked Ford trucks, but often hated ford truck seats.

You will be fine power and holding capacity. Just make sure you have trailer brakes...

Seems like the obvious thing to do in this situation is to google search the specs for the truck.

Buying a truck that is almost 20 years old, I would be more concearned with the maintenance history. If the truck has been well taken care off and not beaten then you should be good. On the other hand, if the truck was beaten or not regularly maintined then you could quickly find some propblems from the engine back to the rear-end once you try to pull a load
