Is this price OK?
New zone to be added. Area is about 30x20. Existing valve box is 5 feet from area. All spray heads. Obviously a manifold rebuild of some kind. I'm not sure what is involved regarding wiring...controller is 50' away with conduit running to valve box. $1500. Not lookin to nickel and dime anyone, just curious.

I could be wrong, but I think the most important person to ask if that number is OK would be the customer.

Consider the time of year. Bids right now are going to run at a premium. If you did get a low bid from somebody needing work THEN BEWARE. If you want a better price from a good contractor then you need to shop in the winter.

I wouldn't add a zone for less than about $1200 on an existing system. We actually never bid them, we do them straight T&M, you never know what you're really going to encounter until you start digging and I'm not going to lose my ass because I guessed wrong.

We may give an estimate but the billing is T&M. |
