Deck belt or traction belt?

My 2006 Gates book list a traction belt, Toro #269670. Gates #6840. 40" belt.
Gates doesn't show a deck belt.

If it's a deck belt, measure it. With a pen, mark a line on the outside of the belt then use a tape measure to work your way around the belt, holding both the tape and belt as you go.

Thats a 1/2" belt 40 inches long

Well heck.... I couldn't even pull a hat trick on that one !

My guess is it's a odd size due to so little adjustment on the tension idler arm, But I did find this to be the cheapest place I ran across to get one; http://www.mowpart.com/m7/Toro/p1368...duct_info.html
