Copper Thefts

When i lived in Savannah Ga. There was a guy that electrocuted himself by trying to steal a transformer off of a pole. This is just as bad.

Why steal a transformer? Weren't those thing liable to contain PCBs?

you don't. you hock the hundreds of pounds of copper windings that are inside. that is if the chemicals inside of the thing don't kill ya. and you don't kill yourself trying to steal the thing in the first place.

You have to remember, they are stealing this to buy METH. I would say they have no concern for PCB's

I bought an investment house where all the copper wiring and the outside A/C unit had got stolen. The wiring cost me over $1200 in materials to replace.
