a waterworks compression tee will have some means of mechanically gripping the pipe it goes over, and not having to cut threads saves enough labor to buy the tee

Brass compression T went in. The pipe was secure on both sides so I am not worried about it splitting. We will see how it works, no call in from the guys means good news so far.

Just heard from my guys and the tee worked and system is at 100psi.
