Scag W/B Wont disengage Blades.....

Yep thats right. My Scag Walk Behind will not disengage the blades. (permanetly on)
I have checked all the wiring and have replaced the PTO switch. I also have tried disconnecting any and all safety switches to get it to swicth off, but nothing. I on the other hand have just got over 500 hrs on it and according to the manual it says to adjust the air gap on the clutch....

i know there are 3 main mounting points on the clutch but does any body have any ideas what it could be or what my next step should be?

I have searched the forum.....

When looking up under the unit at the clutch you have a lower bearing and a upper bearing, When the upper bearing fails/locks up it causes the deck to run continuously.

Some of these bearings can be replaced depending on skill level and having proper shop tools/equipment for the job.

Here's a post I made years back on clutch adjustment once the bearing failure is resolved; http://www.lawnsite.com/showpost.php...90&postcount=2

Here's a link to Ogura's site about installation and maintenance: http://www.ogura-clutch.com/files/pd...stallation.pdf

You can probably backtrack and get to the main Ogura site for more info.

You should also be able to find a shop manual/info for your unit on the Scag website,no?

Here's the Warner clutch site :http://www.warnerelectric.com/installation.asp
Scroll down to the Turf And Garden section.
Though you should have an Ogura on your unit.
