I had a towing tune programmed by wait4me this winter. The shift points are way different and overall after getting used to the changes l am glad l had it done. Not awe inspiring difference but enough to recommend getting it done. 2003 2500hd 6.0l

Not huge, it certainly hasn't gotten worse, but not a great increase sadly. I would do it again as the shift points alone are more where they should be and less severe.

I'm guessing by your signature your talking about your gasser 6.0. Programmers are awesome for us diesel guys. My Smarty ME programmer can add 200 horsepower and about 400 ft lbs of torque to my Cummins 6.7 in the highest setting. Because of my stock trans I only run an extra 65 HP and 130 ft lbs. of torque. I used my programmer to delete all my emissions stuff and add 2 mpg. In my case that was about a 15% jump in mpg's. In one tank of fuel that can save you $20.

In a gasser the programmers aren't much more then false hope. You may add 20 HP & 20 ft lbs of torque (or similar) but in a 4000 - 5000 lb. plus truck you won't even be able to tell you gained anything. As far as gas mileage you will never see the claims the places make. I saw one place claiming a gain of 7 mpg for only $69. Not going to happen in the real world. If you notice any gains at the pump at all I would be very surprised.
