Pricing jobs

is there a formula for estimating how much a customer should be charged for cut, trim, blow down? I am also looking for any other formulas that will make my business more profitable (mulch jobs, loam & seed jobs, sod jobs, etc.) I know that this has probably been addressed before but, I'll be damned if i can find the threads. Thanks for any help.

However you need to figure what you operating costs are to determain pricing.

Get with a CPA you can trust and work a system out with them.

I agree with LGF. But in the meantime, if you're using a walkbehind mower, try to price your work at around $30-$45 per man hour. This is time spent on the job.

When you're ready to step up to a ZTR, you can shoot for $60 per man hour.

These figures are for time spent on the job and NOT time spent driving between jobs. They are only rough figures to try and help you get started. You may not be able to make these targets until you have enough experience to finish your work quickly but still maintain fine quality.
