How am I doing after 1 year in business?

I think i'm doing good but I want some input from other business owners. I have about 15 accounts I mow bi-weekly or weekly. I have about 5 other clients that keep me busy with landscaping work around their homes or rental properties. I have a 2007 Silverado to pull my 6x10 open trailer, both are paid off. I have a 48" hustler zero turn mower which I have financed. I have 2 21" push mowers for smaller areas, and I have one weedeater and one blower. I have been staying busy with landscaping jobs when I am not mowing so I have not been doing any advertising just word of mouth for new accounts. Any helpful tips are appreciated. Thanks.

I don't think you can really judge your business by what others think. With that said, do you have a plan, and how are you performing to that plan?? How satisfied are your customers? What are the goals for your business?

If you have defined goals and a plan, then you evaluate how you're doing by checking your progress against the plan. On the surface, it seems like you're doing OK.

this my first year too and i have about the same amount as you....i'd say that's a great start for your first year....i am really surprised i got as many as i did my first year....now we just add more next year....the key is knowing when to say when so you don't get over worked and too busy and end up working 15hr days lol....guess it all depends on your goals.
