Have you tried prayer? Just kidding, that doesn't work on weeds.
All I can suggest is: weed wack every week (which takes alot of labour time) or use a glyphosate when it's above 70 degrees ferenheit/18 degrees celcius, or power wash the cracks out and resand the whole thing. I'll bet the client won't give you more money to do any-thing extra, correct? I know I've bid lower on estimates in the past, only to discover hidden problems later in the season that cost more in labour time and gas. Now I anticipate where the problems will appear. A combination of Roundup mixed with a product called Sureguard made by Valent will give you good control.
