as you can see on my red truck the box was very tall, i just avoided highways and used caution on windy days and you will be fine. just make sure your tires are evenly inflated etc. you will be fine! your truck is a 2500/250 or heavyer right? that will make the bigest difference
ditto that to keeping your windows closed. had my brother help me suck up a couple piles i shut my window he left his open!! almost had to duke it out with him hahaha

Leaves get pretty compacted in a leaf box and sucking them out kind of ...well...sucks. I helped a friend do this when the dump on his truck failed. We gave up and ended up just raking them out with 24 inch landscape rakes.

darryl, I hear ya but I gotta try it atleast once lol. I know it's gonna suck, and if it sucks real bad, I will just pitch fork them out. I might actually just lay a tarp inside, and when I get a majority of it sucked out, just pull the tarp out with the rest of leafs

I used a 199X Dodge ram pickup that i got for $2500 With 6'3" Sides on it. Feels heavy in when full but When we get to the dump We used to just open the doors and hook the loader to the chain that was attached to the pallat and all the leaves came out in a huge cube. Its funny to watch all the other guys' Reaction! Because everybody else uses dump trucks and big rigs and i roll up with the oldest rig at the dump! And unload a pretty good size load for my truck! I only use that truck for fall/spring clean ups.... But i like using the dump trailer alot more. But when we get backed up we use both trucks! |
