Kohler SV735

Anyone know if the Kohler SV735 has an ACR? I have one that has become hard to crank the last few weeks. The starter struggles to spin it over the first revolution, but once it's past that it spins fast, starts and runs great. Should I check the valve lash?

It probably has a relief on it being that big of a engine. First thing I would check is the valve lash on it. Depending on the hours the engine has, the cam could be wore, also a possibility that the starter is getting weak, and not wanting to spin thru the compression stroke.

There is not an ACR on any Kohler SV Twin cylinder engines. If you do check/adjust the valve lash, be prepared with some rags to catch some oil. The valve covers are about half full after the engine has run for awhile, and it does not drain back no matter how long the engine sits. Your problem is probably starter/starter wiring related.
