Trench Drain Question

I have a patio that is sloping towards the grass in my backyard and a lot of run off from my patio floods the area where the grass is at the edge of my patio. To fix this I thought maybe I should install a trench drain. But since my patio is stamped concrete I am trying to avoiding having to concrete in the trench drain. Is there a way that I can put a trench drain into my lawn where the patio ends?
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

You could use gravel and piping like they use in perimiter foundation drains on bldgs (adjacent to the footings). The piping is porous and is covered with fabric, during installation.

Just run it to daylight (if you have adequate fall).
