BR600 Questions

I'm finally gonna bite the bullet and pick one of these up, tomorrow. My Husky's several years old, and I'm gonna replace it before I "have" to.

1. Extreme rack "OK"? Looks solid on their website. Another rack that's the cat's meow?

2. How heavy is this thing? My wife likes to keep the leaves off our drive (it's about 500' long).

3. Is this thing powerful enough to clean some pretty nasty gutters, without scooping?.....lol
I've got a customer who's asked me to clean his out. I've got time in there to scoop it, if I have to. But, if this thing's powerful enough, I could see being done in mere minutes.

Thanks.

1. Idk about Extreme, I've got Trimmer Trap couldn't be happier.
2. 20ish lbs. Lightest of the bigboys.
3. Very powerful. Gutters shouldn't be a problem.

Trimmer trap site says their racks aren't recommended for Stihl blowers.

Have they updated their racks and not updated their site?

Thanks for the info..

You have to get the "other" Stihl rack, the ST-2.

21.6 lbs. Nice and light for what it is.

Gutters won't even begin to strain it. I do them with my Stihl SH85 handheld and the gutter attachment for it right from the ground. It cleans them with ease, wet, nasty, stuck leaves and all, so the BR600 is more than enough. In fact, you'll have to be careful not to loosen the gutters up with it, and I'm being serious. If they're not attached nice a firm, they can get blown loose, or even out away from the facia.

Good stuff guys. Thanks for the heads-up on the ST2, also.

I'm not gonna lie. I have NO IDEA what a 4-mix is. I'm sure this has been covered 1000X. But, can I get the cliff's notes?

The 4 mix is a 4 stroke engine that runs on 2 stroke mixed fuel since there's no oil sump to provide lubrication. The engine had valves that need to be adjusted after the first 139 hours (or if needed, even sooner). Do not let the quiet, sorta muffled sound of the engine (compared to a 2 stroke) fool you into thinking it isn't al that powerful, because it certainly is.

Extreme Rack is good for the BR600 - good solid rack in general
