Ohhh. I think shindaiwa is owned by echo now. I always bought the higher end ECHO products. Never had a problem. **** happens though. Okay i will have to target new homes as well. I was also thinking of targeting older households. Where i live it seems like those are the people who need/want it the most...

Instead of buying an 800 dollar push mower, buy a walk behind for $800.

you are absolutely right!!! go on craigslist and get a 36 or 48 inch hydro for $800-$1000 instead of a $800 push mower.

put that tractor on craigslist and try to get a few hundred.

You need to add edging next to the box on the back...always edge every yard every time where applicable.

Don't get those snapper 26" or 30" WB's, waste of $$. Buy a toro, scag, exmark, etc., see what dealers are near by. I myself want that snapper push mower as early this spring I bought a dethatch rake for a snapper push mower thinking it would fit the push mower I currently have for 1 account that has a fenced backyard. Or if you bought it and want the rake I'd sell it for like $75+shipping, they go for $150 I think, I never used it because it didn't fit. Got it hardly used from a homeowner who bought a bigger property so he bought a lawn tractor.
Unload your tractor, buy a push mower and 48" walk behind, that way if you have a customer with a fenced backyard you can mow it. But I would wait until you have customers lined up before you buy anything. Just keep the cash until spring and then buy. If worst comes to worst and you have a 48" WB, at least you'd have the nicest mower and lawn in the neighborhood lol.

****When you put out the doorhangers, put the house's address on the bottom of it with a permanent marker (if it's glossy you'll need one to write the price anyway), that way people with bigger corner lots cant screw you and switch with their neighbors because that happened to me but I had no way to prove it.
