The steeple is copper, 60' 0ff the ground and they didn't want it done.

I hear ya. I suspect the current patina will get better and better over time. Don't they call it verdigris or something like that?

I honestly don't think the steeple has been touched since the church was built. Patina... I understand but now I'll have to go to the dictionary for verdigris.
