Any thoughts on the Kawasaki backpack blowers? Seem to be a good value for the money. Anyone use them? Also can anyone recommend a powerfull habd held blower? Thanks

Stay away from them! I bought one $380 from toolsbarnusa, and I'll tell you...its under powered, hard to start(takes 4-5 pulls cold) very uncomfortable, thing pulls you back constantly, gas guzzler! my stihl BR600 out performs this kawi by 15-20% so its good for blowing clippings from the driveway, or for some light duty work, but for serious clean up or heavy duty work go for something more powerful.

I will say this much about the value of Kawi handhelds. A few years ago I had a shop with a partner with the hopes of becoming a servicing dealer. I had the Kawi rep come by and demo the handhelds. He gave me the dealer price sheet on the equipment. I got on ebay and found I could buy the equipment cheaper from other dealers on ebay than I could as a dealer. This told me that the other dealer were just dumping them at what ever cost. They never got too popular here in DFW. For the price they look like a good value though.

Old thread, so I am not sure the OP will read it. Anyway, I really like the KRB750 blowers. I have had two of them. One with the left side throttle and one with the grip controls. They both have generally started on the second pull and have plenty of power for daily maintenance use. It's not the fuel sipper that my Redmax EBT7001 was, but it uses less than my old Shindaiwa EB630 and the non-strato charged Redmax 7001. It's much lighter than the strato Redmax, and maybe just a little heavier than the Shindaiwa.
