Rustic Country Outdoor Living Area

On this project we removed all existing concrete, structures, and irrigation to accomodate a clean slate to work with. This job entails all aspects of landscape/irrigation, carpentry, hardscapes, and aquatic habitat creation. One thing that our company prides is that we construct every aspect of our project with our crews, no subcontracting. Specifically on this project we had the following challenges to address:

- Client wanted a flagstone patio from the street to the front door (created a reinforced concrete bridge to pass over the exsisting culvert)

-Had to utilize an existing concrete retaining wall that was part of the house' foundation (built a pondless waterfall over the majority of it, then "stoned" the remainder exposed.

-Removed an old playhouse covered in poison oak.

-Checked the flow of the flood plain before constructing the outdoor kitchen (used the same area that the playhouse as originally in)

-Constructed the outdoor kitchen to support an 800lb custom built smoker

Materials used

-25,000lbs of select flagstone for patio/walkway
-3,800lbs of moss rock for a small retaining wall around a small flower bed
-350 sq ft of natural thin veneer stone for outdoor kitchen/foundation on
house/retaining wall
-35 yards of 3000psi concrete
-Aquascapes Pondless waterfall kit
-4,500lbs of Brown River rock for the waterfall
-Variety of cedar for the outdoor kitchen
-Cinder Blocks
-Rebar
-20 yards of mixed soil for flower beds
-10 yards of hardwood mulch for flower beds
-Various plantings
-Irrigation reconstruction
-Vista landscape lighting install with 18 lights

Our company could definitely use the help of a skid steer due to the fact that we are limited to what we can do by the size of our crew. We strive to keep up with the latest practices in our field of work to offer the public an unmatched level of service and construction.

Question Missing July

I posted my project photos in July and received a CNH $100 gift card and a letter acknowledging my entry, but the month of July seems to be missing from the posted projects that made it to the voting stage.
