Bag or Mulch

I have a 48 in turboforce Toro hyrdo walkbehind. My yard has a combination of maple leaves and pine straw needles. Its not super thick or covered, but noticeable. Would I be better off bagging or trying to mulch these to clean the yard up a little. I will have to buy one kit or the other for mower, and it would be the toro kits. I thought about getting the mulch kit because then in the spring it will not leave the wind rows I get now with just the block off plate it has on it. I would not plan be using the bagger on the lawn in the spring/summer since I do think I get some help from the clippings. Any idea which would be better? Or should I just get a damn good backpack blower?
