Outboard motor gas tank for genarator

Yeah, it will work. As mentioned, ya gotta mount it higher than the carb, if no fuel pump.
And ya gotta get a siphon started, one way is to pressurize the tank slightly by blowing into the fill cap manually. You should crack the bowl nut or open the bowl drain to verify fuel flow.
