walk behind leaf vac vs mower with bagger?

Hello,
I'm trying to get into some light duty leaf cleanup but I have limited equipment.

I have a scag 48" WB, but the bagger is very small.
I have a riding mower with a triple bagger.
and I have a 5x8 trailer pulled by a v8 wagon. I was thinking the walk behind leaf vac would be best due to space, I could build a bigger leaf box on the trailer. The riding mower and scag take up most of the trailer.

What do you think? I would set up a few jobs in one day then rent the Billy Goat leaf vac for $40. But how well do they work vs a bagger on a mower? One thing I noticed once before when picking up leaves with my rider is that the leaves didn't get mulched, only picked up, so they would take up a lot of space still. Is this normal?
