From worker to manager

I was curious for those who have left the field and entered the office... how many guys did you have working for you when you finally decided to do so? I am thinking I can replace myself soon...just trying to figure out when is the right time...as the goal has been to manage a business, not just work it.

I would think that finding the right guy would be a good indication of when.

Ask Jim Lewis, he runs a good sized op. Works only part of the week. The rest of the time he is on a boat cruzin. Gotta suck.

I think the key is finding the right guy....i bet once your business reaches a certain size it gets easier rather than more difficult.
