Lazer Z issue

I have a lazer z that has just over 500hrs on it. The other day after mowing a lawn the mower wouldnt do anything when you turned the key. i resorted to using a come-along to pull it onto the trailer and bringing it to my buddy. he crossed the connection on the starting solenoid and the mower fired right up. Next morning went and picked up a new solenoid and put it in. mowing started fine all day. got home to put it away and now it wont wont do anything when turning the key again. It starts when crossing the connection, ive checked my seat safelty and other ones. Can anybody tell me whats wrong? really appreciate any help.

Just a thought but how about the ignition switch or the key itself?

at about 500 hrs mine did the same. parts were replaced and it would work for a little. turned out the ground was no good. after some time and money. all it took was unbolting the ground sanding and re bolting

Could be the ignition switch. Mine got funky to the point I had to hold the key a certain way for it to work..push in hard and on an angle. Now it works with about any key except the one that came with it, lol.

Thank you all. with it getting so dark so early now its hard to find the time to work on the mower itself. The ignition switch was replaced at the beginning of the season so im nearly positive that isnt the problem but never know. ill try all of the suggestions above and report back asap. thanks again

Well yesterday i decided to check all the wiring and it turns out part of my PTO connector was unplugged. works like a charm now. thanks to you all
