All depends on what type sealer it was , if it was coal tar , there is a product sold by seaboard asphalt in md that works well .

Ok I went back today and tried the portland cement on three and 1/2 driveways. It worked pretty well, it does take alot of sweeping to get an even look. The property manager was happy, we are going to wait a week and recheck the driveways before doing the remaining driveways (22).

looks good, you should hose and brush one down to accelerate cure and to see if it will fade or wash out. I hope it works out for the homeowners.

Is it a water based or oil based sealcoat? If it is a water based sealcoat it will not penetrate the cement. Don't know if this is still true after the carb cleaner was sprayed on it. A citrus cleaner (can buy at home depot) will break down the sealcoat if it is water based. Just spray it on, let it dwell then rub with a stiff brush. You may need to apply the citrus cleaner several times. Good Luck!
