Where are all the good gas cans?

I noticed that too. I commented on the no spill cans after your post. I will say it again though, they are the best of what we have available. I think I have tried just about every new style can and that one is hands down the best.

Plantscape, I have 2 of those. They work GREAT for filling the handhelds. The downside, they don't have vents and will balloon up in the hot summer sun. I made a vent out of a metal valve stem from a custom automotive wheel.

yeah they changed them in 2011 when i bought mine...some sort of CARB or EPA reason for it lol.

Pretty much correct.

It was designed to trap air at the top of the tank leaving a space for the gas to expand without overflowing, and also so that you don't overfill the tank and spill it on the ground(sob, sniff, blah blah).

Yep produced everything you wanted to know about the basic three types of cans which I thought was great and a lot of hot air errr gas!

Yea, I am in charlestown I work in Narragansett, South Kingstown, Charlestown, Westerly and Pawcatuck it makes for a nice 3 day route, east, west and central and two days sto catch up and do special projects with time to build on the first 3 days.

Glad to see another RI guy on here. Yeah I'm a little ways away from you in my own little paradise but yours is much prettier than mine. Nice loop you have going there.

I just use the HO grade cans from Lowe's or home-depot
wichever store is cheaper
but the disadvantage is that I have had to buy 2 5 gallon cans because they keep getting larger than normal so they eventually were to blow up but I prevented that from happening by continiously buying new gas cans
but for the new mowing season I am on the hunt for better gas cans!
even if they are $50.00 bucks

The only good cans now are the metal safety cans. The only problem with them is the funnels break. They pour fast!
