I installed new electric pto on john deere saber model 2554 with 25 hp kholer and when running I turn on pto the battery light stay on?, any Ideas

Put a meter on the battery and see what the voltage is while running with PTO on and someone on the seat.

The meter reads 12.2 volts.

check ac stator voltage and check regulator. battery is not charging. should read around 14-14.5 dc volts at battery

I switched another regulator i had and now charging . Thanks for help
