feeler thread dump truck
I have been thinking of selling my dump i wanted to get some input on the value,to determine weather to sell it or just keep it. Its a 86 chevy 3500. 4x8box for storage, wheelbarrow rack on top, new paint a few years ago. 350 with stick. The truck is really clean no rust.Seat is good shape, only thing i can think of is the dash is cracked up in a few spots. I really have no idea where to start. I have looked on CL and ebay and found trucks that were for sale for a year for what seemed a good price then others that to me seemed ridiculous that sold quick. Makes no sense.

How many miles?
That is an awesome little box there behind the cab. Any make or is it a homemade type thing? |

86 or 89k on the miles cant remember. They are real not rolled over to 100 or 200k.I know this because i bought the cab and chassis from my wifes grandfather that bought the truck new.The box me and a friend of mine built. Its alum. framed with 2x4s and plywood. He worked on some trucks that haul crabs with refrigirated bodies and helped me build it like they were built, minus the steel floor.

Anyone $$$$?My scope of bussiness has changed alot in the past few years. When i put this truck together i was doing 1-2 jobs a week that were not mowing. Now i am mostly just mowing maybe 1-2 jobs a month if i'm lucky that aren't mowing. I am tring to deceide between keeping it and adding a detachable dovetail for a mowing/landscape rig. Or buying a dump trailer that requries no insurance ,save some money there. I can pull the dump trailer when needed with the duramax. If i get the dump trailer i will buy a s10 or f150 for mowing, something that gives good gas milage.

Without seeing it in person this is my opinion, others may disagree: you could sell it for 3200-3500 pretty quick, put it at around 5k and you will sit on it for a while.
