My new 2014 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel

Its a 2014 Ram 1500 Laramie quad Cab 4x4 with the Eco diesel. Its a v-6 turbo diesel.

Ive had it for 2 weeks and put 1100 miles on it. Im averaging around 28 mpg on the hwy and low 20's around town so far, empty, no towing yet.

So far this truck is perfect. It rides as smooth as anything Ive ever driven, gets great fuel mileage and can still take 6 people and tow around 9,000 lbs if needed.

How's the acceleration compared to the Cummins in the old 2500?

This new one is about the same, maybe a little quicker. I actually didnt drive that green 2500, it was used for one of my grass cutting crews. My daily driver has been a 12 Ram 3500 SRW diesel. I did the emissions delete, tuner, air intake, exhaust ect so it is a lot faster than this new truck, but I drive about 30,000 miles per year and this new truck gets about 10 more mpg than the other truck, plus this new one rides better and is more comfortable inside. . I put my 3500 into the work truck rotation and ill keep this new 1500 for regular driving.

I like the looks of it and glad they are putting diesel's in the smaller trucks.

I will be very curious to see your maintenance costs compared to a HD diesel and a gas ecoboost F150 like I currently have.
