Does the winch have a seperate battery or does it run of the original? Winches often put quite a load on a battery especially when the vehicle isn't running, right?

it runs off of the trucks batterys, it has two large batterys (old) that ill probably be up dating soon.

Looks like its well thought out. The beads arent bad either. The ramp on the back, is the expanded metal welded to the supports or fastened in another way? Im making my own ramp for my trailer and am wondering if welding is the way to go.

my old boss had a aluminum ramp and expanded metal on top(not razed expanded metal...very bad idea), and his was bolted on. It never worked that well the bolts kept coming out. My main trailer for 4 years has a welded expanded metal and it works great. I copied the way the guy made mine. So yes I welded every thing on the ramp together

the middle door of the side door will have a mesh tarp behind it so when i use my billy goat DL it'll have air flow through that part, every thing else will hope fully be sealed.
i have some pics of the heavy duty tarp on the back side of the flat bed
the last pic is of the rubber striping that i will be bolting to the flatbed

Hate to ask but do you think you could post some close up pics of the ramps beads on the expanded metal. What form of welding are you using? I will be using a Mig welder.
