What most of us dont do right in our marketing strategies

I have come to the conclusion that most guys dont understand what marketing really is. Sure... its getting your name out there in front of prospects. But what is it that sets some companies above the rest? Lets look at Trugreen. What does a regular joe think of about Trugreen. They probably think of the company who makes yards green. (which us guys generally know is not true) but thats what Trugreen has done to people. Theyve differentiated themselves as the go-to-company for getting their lawns back in order and staying green.

So now look at what you as a business owner are doing to differentiate your company. What image are you trying to create in peoples minds when they see or hear your name? If every lawn care company in your area is doing one thing, dont be a copycat. Do something else and market the heck out of it.
