discharge size

How much can you tell about the way a new mower cuts. By the discharge size? When shopping for a mower. And does this rule not apply to certain deck types? Thanks

A larger discharge opening will allow better dispersal of the clippings. Usually they leave a better finished cut. And less clumping.
