Make Your Craigslist Ad STAND OUT

I got a few PM's on how I created my craigslist ad and I thought I would dedicate a thread on how I did it.

To see an example of the possibilities, see my Craigslist ad: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/fgs/2260609383.html

Craigslist only allows certain types of HTML code which can be found HERE

Here is another link of accepted HTML formats, click HERE

I attached a word document below that has the HTML code for my Craigslist ad that you can modify for your business!

If you aren't great at HTML, your in luck! There is a FREE Craigslist HTML editor that will code everything for you! Here is the link: http://freeadcreator.com/

A few tips:
  1. Always make your links open in a new window!
  2. Paste your Craigslist HTML in a word document and save it for fast and easy re-posting!
  3. Repost as often as Craigslist allows (no sooner than 48 hours) to stay on top
  4. Only post services in the services section of Craigslist!! They WILL remove your ad if you post it in the For Sale section!
  5. In my opinion, the more professional your ad looks, less "cheapskates" will call you! Weed-out the customers you don't want!
  6. Respond to potential customer inquiries in a timely manner!
  7. Try using images instead of just straight text
  8. Pack your patients! Results don't always come overnight!

I know my ad is working! Got 2 calls/emails today alone!

Let me know how it turns out for you!
Please feel free to PM/Contact me if you need any help!

Good Luck!!!

That's really sweet, looks way better than my add with a bunch of text.

Do people really buy your services or just ask for quotes and never get anything done?

Kirk,

Good to hear Craigslist is working for you. After checking your ad out, what exactly are you doing for on-line access and Billpay? What kind of fees do you pay?

You can make an Account with photobucket.com to post HTML code photos! It bring me over 100 account a month! Try it too!
